Happy Halloween 2012

We had a blast this year for Halloween. Brennon picked out his costume with Meme way back at the first of September so he was set & ready to be an "army guy" for Halloween. Bryce knew what he wanted to be early on also, but his costume was a little more tricky. He wanted to be Sensei Wu- a Ninjago (Lego ninja) character. They don't make a Sensei Wu costume- so I scoured the Internet, costume stores, goodwill, & any other place I thought might have items I might need to make his costume. I ended up finding all the pieces (all at different places) & he was very pleased with the outcome. Our neighborhood is perfect for trick or treating. The only draw back was that we lost Brenn a couple of times :/ We were trick or treating with a couple of other families & all us adults would stay at the road & send the kids to the door together, then all the kids would come back to the side walk & we'd continue to the next house (walking). A couple of times however, Brennon went rogue & decided he should just run house to house without checking in with the parents. So guess who got to go right up to the doors with him the rest of the night?! Yep: ME! But it was fun! There was one house that went all out & as a group of kids were at the door a strobe light would come on & a man would run from behind the house with a chainsaw & fire it up. Needless to say, Bryce screamed like a little girl & ran- Brennon when asked if he was scared said "what man?" - typical! These boys are too much fun!
