Chin is busted!

Brennon went to stay with Nana & Papa for a week while Bryce was at Camp Invention. The very first day there he fell off the diving board and busted his chin open. Janice said he fell in the water then swam to the ladder, climbed out and was whining about his skinned arm & foot. Neither of them noticed his chin until blood started dripping- then she said he started screaming, but not for too long- our little Brenn is one tough cookie. So she decided to take him to the ER & thankfully we were on our way back from dropping Bryce off in TX so we met them at the hospital. When we got there he was sound asleep (they live in the country & the drive to the ER takes about an hour). The ER was slammed that day. Lots of little kiddos...
I held Brennon for about an hour before he woke up. He woke up in the best mood! His chin was covered with a bandaid & had stopped bleeding, by the looks of it you wouldn't have known that he had a busted chin. After about 2 1/2 hours we finally got to get back in a room- the dr came in and we removed the band aid & I got my first glimpse at his chin. It didn't look great- definitely needed stitches of some sort. The dr decided to do the liquid stitch stuff- glue of some sort. Brennon never cried or really even flinched the whole time, not while the nurse was cleaning or while the doc was applying the glue. After we were finished and leaving the hospital I asked him if he wanted to go ahead & go to Nana & Papa's for VBS or if he wanted to come back home with me? In true tough guy fashion he opted to go home with the grandparents and did great all week! He's one brave lil guy!
